The Delaware County Builders and Trades Association is an organization of people that are in some way related to the construction industry. Our members tend to be more local, and community minded.
The association helps the consumer by keeping our members informed of the latest products and techniques through our monthly meetings. The D. C. B. T. A. meetings are full of information shared freely by experts in the construction industry. The D. C. B. T. A. has had and will continue to have many interesting and informative guest speakers. Occasionally we have obtained the same information at one of our informative meetings that other organizations charge $35 to $40 for and call it a seminar.
We often participate in community projects that range from building wheelchair ramps to helping with Habitat for Humanity projects.
The D. C. B. T. A. is in the process of working out a code of ethics to help guide our members and make the public feel more secure.
The D. C. B. T. A. has been helping local contractors for many years in matters dealing with government agencies.
PURPOSE of the ORGANIZATION (As stated in our By-Laws)
1. To provide an organization to discuss construction practices, inspection practices and building techniques in the Delaware County Area. 2. To provide an organization for unified representation of builders in the Delaware County area. 3. To provide an organization for the promotion of member builders and tradesmen in the Delaware County area.
